3. Museum of Contemporary Craft
The Museum of Contemporary Craft is a 70-year old organization that enlivens and expands the understanding of craft and the museum experience, allowing people to connect through art and dialogue. Housed in a new 15,000 sq. ft. location in the burgeoning Pearl District, the Museum provides dynamic exhibitions, provocative education programs and one-of-a-kind artworks for sale in its Gallery. Among the Museum’s programs are weekly tours, workshops and demonstrations for kids and adults, lectures by renowned scholars, a lunch-time discussion series and extended hours during the First Thursday Art Walk. Free admission. Hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday; Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.Part of the Portland Attractions Pass.
