Terra Cotta Portland - Architectural Heritage Center Portland’s architectural riches include a grand collection of more than 40 buildings clad in glazed terra cotta. They range from the 1907 Wells Fargo Building at SW Sixth & Oak (Portland’s first “skyscraper” and first terra cotta building) to the last – the Charles F. Berg Building at SW Broadway near Morrison.

Yoshida's Sand in the City - Yoshida's Sand in the City 2008 On Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 450 tons of sand will be sculpted into giant sculptures by local companies and organizations. Oregon Craft Beer Month; Widmer Brother's Brewing Co. Presents Oregon Brewers Brunch and Parade - Widmer Brother's Brewing Co. A traditional brunch starts at 9 a.m.
At 11 a.m., nearly 300 brewers and beer lovers will set out for an old-fashioned
parade, accompanied by marching band music. The parade will wind its way for
approximately one mile through Portland sidewalks to the opening ceremonies and
the tapping of the inaugural keg of the 21st annual Oregon Brewers Festival.
